Letter to the Editor: Support Rob Hardy for School Board

To the Editor:

It is my pleasure to support Rob Hardy as a candidate for the Northfield School Board.  During my tenure as the Chair of the Cannon River Stem School Board I recruited Rob to join our founding school board.  The Cannon River STEM School is a K-8 charter school with an emphasis on science, technology, engineering and math.  I lobbied Rob to serve on our board due to his commitment to education, expertise in Classics, writing skills, and ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people.  Rob joined the founding board in November of 2008.  With my term as board chair ending in 2009, Rob stepped up and agreed to chair the STEM school board.  I am grateful for his leadership and vision for the school.

Rob is an active volunteer in the Northfield community: he directed an after school Latin program for the STEM school, serves on the board of directors for Northfield.org and he is currently hard at work assisting the Northfield Skateboard Coalition in their quest for a permanent skate park.

Rob is a very talented and generous individual.  He will make an excellent addition to the Northfield School Board.  I hope that you will join me November 6th and vote for Rob Hardy for School Board.
