Oliver B. Fardig, a Carleton College graduate, passed away at the age of 95 on Nov. 21, 2013 in Sebring, FL.
According to his obituary on the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home website, Oliver B. Fardig was born in Chicago to Andrew Gustavson Fardig and Esther (Anderson) Fardig on Jan. 5, 1918. He was one of seven children, and a twin. He and his identical twin brother, Sheldon, both graduated from Carleton College in Northfield in 1940.
A Celebration of Life service will take place at Shepherd of the Bay in July 2014, the obituary said. Memorials may be made to Highlands Hammock State Park, which was his favorite Florida destination.
