September Community Services Highlights

Northfield Public Schools Community Services fall classes are now open for registration. Youth and adults alike will find many great options for life-long learning.

For adult enrichment choices we have Mac guru and instructor Mike Pahl, who is back with a new iPad series at the middle school starting in September.  Another popular class being offered again, is Michael Detjen’s Beginner American Sign Language, starting on Sept. 17, and some new fall classes include a DSLR Photography and Modern Quilting workshop series on Saturday mornings, both of which start on Sept. 28.  Health and wellness classes will focus on Beating Diabetes and Obesity with Proper Nutrition and Food and also Enhanced Sports Performance, which will be presented by Dr. Jake Conway.

Parents with toddlers and pre-schoolers can check out Early Childhood Family Education’s fall schedule starting on Monday, Sept. 9. ECFE evening class options includes: Life Lessons with Eric Carle, beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 17.

Hit the floor this fall in Youth Floor Hockey for grades K to 5. Class runs on Saturdays from Sept. 14 to Oct. 5 at the middle school gym.  Youth Aquatics classes for children under 5, also starts during the week of Sept 16, including Aqua Tots, Starfish and Water Babies, which are held the AmericInn Motel and Suites Pool with start times varying by age.
