Kick-start your summer with a Community Services class in June

Join fellow parents with newborns for support and information at Newborn Baby Talk, from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Mondays. Classes are free and sibling care is available upon request. Other Early Childhood Family Education programs will include Summer ECFE at Tyler Park and Multi-age Family Time. Youth recreation favorites, such as SUPER Kids and GO FAR are coming back. But no summer is complete without the basics — tennis, soccer, lacrosse and many more. Archery, trap shooting and fishing classes are also available. Enjoy learning, in classes such as GEMS Camp and Planes, Trains and Automobile Science. Younger children can dive into math, writing and art activities with Dr. Seuss or create themed math and science projects while reading author Eric Carle. Don’t forget to check out new art camps by Watch Me Draw. Learn to swim with Community Services’ American Red Cross lessons and other aquatics programs for babies through adults. Visit Community Services at www.nfld.k12.mn.us or call 507.664.3649 for more information or to register. Northfield Public Schools Community Services includes recreation and enrichment programming, Early Childhood Family Education, driver education, KidVentures, EarlyVentures Learning Center, Connected Kids, Middle School Youth Center, Hand-in-Hand Preschool, Adult Basic Education and Project ABLE.
