I never thought I would be part of the blogosphere (do they still say that?), but here I am! By way of introduction, I am the GOP endorsed candidate for State Senate District #20.
This is my first real foray into partisan politics. I was elected as the District Attorney of Lincoln County, WI 32 years ago, but that really wasn't a political position, it is the equivalent of the County Atty here. Briefly, I'm a retired FBI Agent. I have lived in New Prague the past 15 years. I am widowed and live with Kevin, my 16 year old son. I was born and raised in Northfield on the family farm, and my family is still there. I still spend lots of time there. I have many friends there from all my years in Church league softball and all my years as a member of the James Younger Gang and the DJJD celebration.

I love Northfield and am always proud to say that it is where I hail from. Lots of people kid me about how liberal it is and how the GOP gets crushed there, but I will tell you this... If Northfield had not been a part of my District, I would NOT have run. I wanted the chance to represent my hometown. Before there was "Minnesota Nice" there was "Northfield Nice" so I expect to give, and get, civility and respect, no matter what our differences may be.
