Free Vision Board Workshop!

Check out the vision workshop for businesses.

It’s very likely that you set goals for yourself and your business. But do they get lost in a shuffle of papers, or thrown out with old magazines? A vision board is a powerful, visual tool that portrays your goals–making it easier to understand at a glance and harder to toss accidentally.

As Malcolm Gladwell says, “The visionary starts with a clean sheet of paper, and re-imagines the world.”

  1. They force you to consider the future. You may be in the trenches now, trying to launch your company or simply keep up with all the work that needs to be done, but by thinking about your business’s future, you have to think big picture and make decisions that are larger than the here-and-now.
  2. They show, not tell. Instead of a dissertation-length document about what you hope to accomplish, a vision board is a colorful, poster-like creation that anyone can see. You can hang it in your office to motivate yourself and your employees, and best of all, nobody has to take time out of their workday to sit down and read through it.
  3. They keep you motivated. If things aren’t going so well or you’re losing momentum, spending time working on or simply reflecting on your vision board can bring you back to your big dream for your company. As a plus, it’s cheaper than therapy!

How to make a vision board

At its most basic, a vision board is a big collage composed of quotes, ideas, and images that are meaningful to you. There are many step-by-step instructions available (including these), but if you’re interested, we’ll be having a vision board workshop on February 26th from 3 to 5pm at SPUR Coworking.  Think about where you see yourself and your company in a few years, and get ready to collage your way to success. It's FREE! Just bring some magazines to share, and something to put your vision on.
