Readers Can Help the Northfield Early Childhood Coalition Initiative—And Kids in Northfield!

By reading, you can help benefit local children.

We are excited to announce that the Pearson Foundation is giving SMIF 25,000 children's books as part of their We Give Books campaign.  As part of this grant award, we will participate in their "Read a Book, Give a Book" online campaign with a goal of having 25,000 books read from June 25 - August 1, 2012.  Achieving this goal will put SMIF in a good position to apply for books next year, and it provides another resource to advance early literacy.

Today we're asking for your help in spreading the word to the children in your community, so they can begin reading these wonderful on-line books!

Children and parents/grandparents can register online and choose from hundreds of books to read for free.
