Tom Webb with the Pioneer Press stopped in Northfield on Saturday for the Farm Bike Tour.
Attached to this post is Webb's video. Be sure to check out his story.
The Farm Bike Tour visited seven area farms to check out sustainable farming.
"By getting students, local businesses, and other residents outside on their bikes and face to face with farmers, we hope to raise awareness of this growing local-food scene and get people excited about the sustainable agriculture happening in their own community," according to organizers.
The event also served as a fundraiser for farmer Dayna Burtness of Laughing Loon Farm who lost almost $20,000 worth of crops and equipment due to summer flooding.
