Telling: Minnesota

Detailing military service from Vietnam to the present, six Minnesota veterans will step on stage at the Weitz Theater at Carleton College to give their first-hand accounts of their lives and the military. “Telling: Minnesota is an unvarnished look at the heroism, absurdity, horror, wonder and banality of military life as told by the Minnesotans,” shares Jonathan Wei, writer of the three continuous act production.

First performed in 2013 at the Guthrie Theater, Telling: Minn...esota has now taken to the road, thanks to the support of the Minnesota Humanities Center. The production was written from interviews with the performers themselves. Stories include capture and escape in Southeast Asia, scud missile attacks in Saudi Arabia, flying injured Soldiers in and out of Iraq and Afghanistan, repairing helicopters in South Korea and sexual trauma.

A discussion and reception follows the performance. This production is recommended for adult audiences as it contains mature content and themes. Tickets are free. Reserve your seats at
