UPDATED: 2 Inches of Snow Possible in Northfield

The National Weather Service is now predicting up to 2 inches of snow could fall in Northfield today.
It's a lovely sight for those cursing Mother Nature for the lack of the white, fluffy stuff that has made it impossible to enjoy many winter activities this season.

Don't get used to it, though.
The NWS is predicting a high of 43 tomorrow for New Year's Eve with a 30 percent chance of rain after noon. There's a 60 percent chance of rain before midnight, so be sure to be extra cautious if you're on the roads tomorrow night.

There's no call for snow in the seven-day forecast.
