Fourth of July: What’s Open, What’s Closed in Northfield

The Fourth of July typically is a day of picnicking, playing outdoors and watching fireworks.
It isn’t known for being a work day.
Because the Fourth of July is a federal holiday, government offices are closed. Here is a list of local government closings:

• Dakota County government offices
• Most banks are closed, as the Fourth of July is considered a bank holiday. The TCF Bank branch at Cub Foods is scheduled to be open.
FOURTH OF JULY WEEK CANCELLATIONS
• The Northfield City Council will not meet at usual on Tuesday, July 2.
• The Rice County Board of Commissioners will not meet as usual on Tuesday, July 2.
