‘Family Folk Festival’ Planned for Saturday

The Northfield Union of Youth and the Rotary Club of Northfield are sponsoring Keyfest from 2 to 10 p.m. at the Estenson Farm.

The Northfield Union of Youth and the Rotary Club of Northfield are teaming up for what’s being called a “family folk festival” on Saturday.

Keyfest, an event featuring music and family-geared activities, is scheduled for 2 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the Estenson Farm, 10541 Ibson Ave.

Proceeds from the event will support the Union of Youth, a nonprofit youth center based on Sixth Street in Northfield.

According to the Union of Youth’s website, “the mission of the Northfield Union of Youth [is to] provide power and voice to area youth and create a caring community.”

Bands scheduled to perform at Saturday’s event include Lonesome Shack, Dewi Sant, Little Omar, Matt Arthur and Friends, Skeleton Club, Terry VanDeWalker (of the Big Wu), The Cutters and artists from Broke Folk Records.

Also available will be food, arts, crafts, face painting, bouncy castle, games and prizes. A live auction featuring items from local artists and vendors will begin at 7 p.m.

Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for students and $5 for children age 12 and under. Family admission is $40.
