DJJD was started in 1948 by a group of Northfield citizens that wanted to honor the memory of the brave Northfielders that stood up to the James-Younger Gang on September 7, 1876.  Since 1948, DJJD has been an all volunteer event.  We are proud to be one of Minnesota’s largest all volunteer events that supports and promotes Northfield.
