What Does Summer Fun in Northfield Look Like to You?

The , park, playground, and at Target.  These are the most common destinations during my family's summer vacation.  

It feels like Northfield comes alive in the summer time.  There is the reading program at the Northfield library, the Riverwalk Market Fair, and the Taste of Northfield.  Then at the end of summer is the one-of-a-kind Defeat of Jesse James Days celebration.  

Other activites we enjoy are laying around the Northfield pool, hiking through the , dipping our hands (and sometimes feet) into the downtown fountain, getting ice cream from or , and participating in some of the fun activities available (like the Y Kids Tri).  

We also like to get out of Northfield and visit other exciting places.  Sadly our annual trip is going to look a little different this year because  are moving to Boston.  

My wife and I are still discussing where to go instead of MI, so I'd love to hear from Patch readers about where you and your family enjoy traveling during the summer time. 

Just remember, we're a family of 5, with three kids between 5-10, and on a budget, so flying to Brazil is out for us. :)
