Veterans Day Schedule with the Northfield VFW

The Veterans of Foreign Wars schedule of activities for Veterans Day, Nov. 11.

That's right ladies and gentlemen, the 11th day of the 11th month is approaching; That means Veterans Day 2011. So, just what do we have planned for the day, you may ask ...

The day will be full for those who would like to join the (V.F.W.) and as they honor all Veterans.

  • 11 a.m.—Veterans Day Program at (Listen to for alternate location if weather is bad) or look here on Northfield Patch for an update that morning.
  • 1 p.m.—Veterans Luncheon at . V.F.W. Commander Bill Murphy and American Legion Commander Tom Hart as well as members of both organizations will be gathered for lunch and available for any questions you may have about membership in either organization. (Applebee's will be providing a meal free to any service member past or present with proper identification...ID, VA card, dog tags, photo, anything that shows you served.)
  • 2:30 p.m.—Veterans at . Both the V.F.W. and Legion members will be taking part in a brief ceremony honoring the veterans who live at the care center. Feel free to join us as we honor their service.
  • 3:30 p.m.—Veterans at Same as Three Links. Please join us.
  • 5:30-7:30 p.m.—V.F.W. Monthly Steak Fry. It just so happens that it landed on Veterans Day this month. As always it's a great steak cooked to your liking, a baked potato and salad bar, with one bar drink all for $10.
