Remember the Troops This Holiday Season

Remember the troops this holiday season.

Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hannakah, Kwanzaa, another holiday or none at all, there are men and women who are not home to celebrate with their families. They are Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines and Coastguardsmen, ready to answer the call of duty and make the sacrifice many others have made before them to protect our freedom.

So, this week as you celebrate by going to church and spending time with your families, take a moment to pray for those brave men and women who won't be doing the same as I am sure they will still be praying for all of us.

Having experienced time away from my family for several holidays I know just how hard it is to be away this time of year. So, also this week I ask that if you see a veteran, thank them for the sacrifices they made during a holiday season, wish them happy holidays and welcome them home.
