Northfield Veterans of Foreign Wars Host MOPH, DAV

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4393 hosts the Local Military Order of the Purple Heart and Disabled American Veterans.

On Wednesday, Oct. 5, the Northfield Veterans of Foreign Wars post 4393 hosted the Military Order of the Purple Heart (MOPH) and the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).

VFW Member Charles DeMann is a member of both of the other organizations. With the groups normally meeting in Red Wing, Lake City, Wabasha or the surrounding area, DeMann decided why not invite them to Northfield.

So, yesterday morning, two members of the VFW Ladies Auxillary served breakfast to myself and 12 members of the MOPH and DAV. After breakfast, the men conducted their meeting in the post.

Members were very impressed with the post home and hope to have meetings in Northfield once again.

On that note, if you or someone you know is a Disabled American Veteran or received a Purple Heart, please feel free to contact me Commander@vfw4393.org and I will put you in touch with the right people if you would be interested in joining either of these organizations.
