Which Films, Actors Deserve Oscars?

Twin Cities residents have a bigger reason than usual to tune into the Oscars this year. Minneapolis resident Barkhad Abdi picked up a best actor in a supporting role nomination for Captain Phillips—which is up for a total of six awards, including best picture—while producer Bill Pohlad was among those who made 12 Years a Slave happen. Also, Inside Llewyn Davis by St. Louis Park natives Joel and Ethan Coen Brothers received nods for cinematography and sound mixing.
