Kiss Me Weirdly

Kissing can be romantic. Kissing can be fun. Kissing can be kind.

Many kisses, however, defy these expectations and just end up weird, awkward, uncomfortable and best fended off.

With five new plays, local playwright Brendon Etter examines five situations leading to kisses which generally fall outside cultural norms.  An assassination attempt, a brutally bitter box, some thoughtful therapy, a solo seat saga and a marital magistrate all find time on stage as the characters enter into some strange locking of lips.

Kiss Me Weirdly will be presented as a fundraiser to benefit the Northfield Arts Guild. This collection of original plays features the acting talents of Adam Andreasen, Tom Ett, Brendon Etter, Hannah, France, Ian Hathway, Tania Larson Legvold, Mickey Morstad, Megan Proft, Samrina Sabri, and Shari Setchell.

Performances of Kiss Me Weirdly will be at the Northfield Arts Guild Theater on Jan. 14, 15, 21 and 22 at 8 p.m. All tickets are $10 and are
available at the and online at northfieldartsguild.org or by phone at 507-645-8877.
