FREE Workshop at the Northfield Arts Guild Theater

Have you ever wondered what happens behind the scenes of a theater productions? Or want to get involved, but didn’t know how to get started?  You’re in luck!  The Northfield Arts Guild theater committee is hosting FREE workshops to introduce you to the behind the scenes action of the theater! These sessions are open to ANYONE interested in attending, age 9 to adult.

Saturday January 21st, 2012 at 10:30AM, will be the first in a series FREE theatrical experiences called “Saturday Backstage”! Have a full tour of the theater building. Find out what community theater is all about.  Learn how you can get involved.  Get tips on how to audition.  Find out how rehearsals are conducted.  Hang-out in the “green room”.  Find out what “break a leg” means, anyway! If you've ever dreamed of being on stage, wondered what really happens at a theatrical audition or wanted to be part of the show, but didn't know how to get started, Saturday Backstage is the place for you! 

The January 21 session is titled “Tour, Terms, and Tactics” and will be hosted by Tania Larson Legvold. Tania holds a B.A in Theater and is an experienced performer and director.  She has worked with The Arts Guild Theater, The Merlin Players in Faribault, The Flower Street Players in Glendale, CA, Northern Sign Theater, Sioux Falls Community Playhouse and others.
