Free Workshop: Articulation, Projection, Inflection
Have you ever wondered what happens behind the scenes of a theater productions? Or want to get involved, but didn’t know how to get started? You’re in luck! The Northfield Arts Guild theater committee is hosting FREE workshops to introduce you to the behind the scenes action of the theater! These sessions are open to ANYONE interested in attending, age 9 to adult.
On Saturday February 18th, 2012 at 10:30AM, The second in a series of FREE theatrical experiences called Saturdays Backstage will take place! Saturdays Backstage is a program to offer information about the Arts Guild Theater Program and how to get involved AND to offer some theatrical training! Monthly sessions will cover a variety of topics.
The February 18 session is titled “Using Your Speaking Voice: Articulation, Projection, Inflection” and will be hosted by Libby Glimsdal. Libby holds a B.A in Theater, has experience as a performer and director and is currently serving as the Theater Coordinator of the Arts Guild. This session will begin with an informal educational session on how performers use their ‘stage voice’ in a healthy and effective manner and will conclude with a tour of the theater facility. This session will be beneficial for all performers, whether beginner or more seasoned. Tweens, teens and adults are all encouraged to attend!
