Agriculture Mini-Camp at the Rice County Historical Society

Join us as we explore Rice County Agriculture “Then and Now.” Campers will learn about how settlers worked the land, the role of women and children on the family farm, and see how farming has changed (and stays the same) today. We will tour two local farms, spend time in the Rice County Historical Society’s log cabin, explore the RCHS agricultural collection and more!

The 2012 History Mini-Camp will be held at the Rice County Historical Society July 12-13, 9:00 am to 2:30 pm. The cost is $20.00 for members and $30.00 for non-members.  Participants must be entering 4th through 6th grade in the fall of 2012.

If you are interested in signing up for History Camp, applications are available at the Rice County Historical Society, 1814 NW Second Avenue, Faribault, MN  55021. If you have any questions please contact the Rice County Historical Society at 507-332-2121 or email us at rchs@rchistory.org.
