When Will A Major Winter Snowstorm Hit the Twin Cities?

Commutes on Thursday afternoon, Nov. 21, and Friday morning, Nov. 22, could be affected by a bit of snow and freezing rain.

Depending on where you are in the Twin Cities right now, you could be experiencing freezing rain, snow and/or wind.

We should see light snow through tonight, according to the National Weather Service Twin Cities/Chanhassen.

After that, the high temperature will dip to about 20 on Saturday. Then the forecast says high temperatures will hover in the 20s and 30s through Thanksgiving weekend.

There's good news for Thanksgiving travelers: No major snowstorms are expected in the Twin Cities during the Thanksgiving weekend.

The average snowfall in November in Minneapolis is about 9 inches. We haven't received much snow this month.

When do you think we will received the first major—2 or more inches—snowstorm in the Twin Cities? Put your guess in the comments below and be careful out there.
