VIDEO: Northfield Streets Flood

A little water couldn't stop vehicles as they made their way along Jefferson Parkway.

Heavy rainfall Saturday morning left some Northfield streets waterlogged as sewage drains were unable to keep up with the downpour.

TJ Heinricy, Northfield's streets and parks supervisor, said streets can sometimes become temporarily flooded if rainfall is as heavy as it was Saturday. According to wunderground.com, about 1.73 inches fell in about an hour in Northfield.

Oftentimes, however, Heinricy said there is minor flooding because debris jams the drains.
