Single Lane Traffic on I-35 Starts Tuesday Evening
MnDOT will have the traffic change completed by Wednesday morning and advises motorists to expect delays.

The Interstate 35 traffic changes will start taking place at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3, says the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
By 5 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4 both directions of Interstate 35 between County Road 2 and County Road 70 will be a single a single lane on the southbound side of the roadway. Lanes will reopen in early November.

Nighttime lane closures on Interstate 35 between County Road 50 and the Burnsville split will occur this week.
MnDOT has also scheduled temporary ramp closures.

- At 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3 the northbound Intersate 35 ramp to Crystal Lake Road will close. The ramp will reopen at 5 a.m. the next day.
- On Wednesday, Sept. 4 the Crystal Lake Road ramp to southbound Interstate 35 will close at 6 p.m. It will reopen at 5 a.m. on Sept. 5.
Additionally, starting Sept. 23, the single lane traffic on Interstate 35 will be extended to County Road 50. At that time the northbound Interstate 35 ramps from County Road 60/185th Street and to County Road 50 will also close.
MnDOT advises motorists to find alternate routes and use the detours to help minimize delays.
