SCHEDULE: Fourth of July in Northfield; What's Open and Closed?

Be sure to know when and where you need to be somewhere for the Fourth of July.

Fourth of July kicks off early in the morning in Northfield and the fun lasts throughout the day until the last firecracker pops.

• 8 a.m.—The annual Northfield Criterium race, hosted by Milltown Cycles. Several races take place throughout the day. Participants include men, women and children.

• 2 p.m.—Northfield Knights at Dundas Dukes' Memorial Park

As a reminder, all government buildings, including City Hall and the Northfield Public Library, are closed on the Fourth of July. Many chains and independent businesses will also be closed, so check the Northfield directory to for a phone number to call ahead.
