Pumpkins—ranging in price from 50 cents each to several dollars—appeared to be the big sellers at the farm market, at 4700 E. Lonsdale Blvd (Hwy. 19 just west of Northfield). But the farm market also carried items like gourds, apples, flowers and dried cornstocks.

In addition to having produce for sale, the fall harvest festival featured family activities like tractor-pulled wagon rides, corn maze, a petting zoo with a pair of sheep and a large sandbox that substitutes dried corn kernels for sand.

The wagon ride takes visitors through the cornfields between North Avenue and Hwy. 19, providing them with a closer view of the windmill.

The farm harvest festival continues from noon to 5 p.m. today, then the next two weekends, Oct. 15-16 and Oct. 23.
