Fundraiser Set for Dan Freeman

There is no admission charge, but a silent auction, a live auction, and “donations” of storytelling at the microphone will bring in money to make his life easier this coming year.

Editor's note: Northfield Patch received this message from Rob Schanilec, owner of By All Means Graphics and The Entertainment Guide.

Greetings!

Because of your association with Northfield, I'm thinking you may have had an association with one of our more colorful characters and Northfield legend, Dan Freeman.

Dan's had some health setbacks of late that drew several of us together to organize a fundraiser for him.

Please mark the date of January 25 and spread the word. We'll be gathering at The Grand to honor and support our friend whose done so much to support Northfield over the years. There is no admission charge, but a silent auction, a live auction, and “donations” of storytelling at the microphone will bring in money to make his life easier this coming year.

Please consider giving an auction item -- anything from merchandise to creative dinner offers to tickets for games or entertainment venues, gift certificates, to whatever you can think of -- as well as bidding on and buying an auction item that evening. Susy Immel is the contact for auction items; she can take them right now or right up to the last minute: susyimmel@charter.net.

Thank you and I hope to see you on the 25th. It will be a night of music, laughter, fun, and friendship.

I tried twice to send a silent auction donation to the susyimmel email address you listed, and both times it came back undeliverable. Can you check it to be sure it is correct? THANKS.

Mary, the correct email is susyimmel@charter.net.
