And the 2013 DJJD Ambassadors Are ...

Throughout the year, ambassadors will make more than 60 appearances and at the end of their reign each ambassador receives a $2,000 scholarship.

Becca Splichal, Sonia Berdahl and Allie Harmer bested  Saturday night to be named the 2013 Defeat of Jesse James Days ambassadors.

The other seven candidates were Patty Cebulla, Annie Clack, Elissa Dulski, Brenda Guadalupe Kell, Ashlyn Rossow, Katiana Trout and Karmen Yoder. The coronation was held at the  auditorium.

Throughout the year, the three ambassadors will make more than 60 appearances and at the end of their reign each ambassador receives a $2,000 scholarship. The ambassador program, according to Julie Eddy, Ambassador Scholarship Program Chair, is designed to empower young women with poise, polish and a promising future.

This year's Miss Congeniality, Splichal, also received a $100 gift card.

This year is the first year for . Previously, one queen and two princesses were selected. 

, the 2012 DJJD Queen, and , a 2012 DJJD Princess, received charms from the Aquatennial's Queen of Lakes to commemorate the last year of . Malecha was also invited to participate in the Aquatennial ambassador program for the coming year.

The 2013  are Annabelle Rezac and Jack Linder.
