Northfield Community Youth Fairs Scheduled for Wednesday

The fairs will take place at Greenvale Park and Bridgewater elementary schools.

UPDATE, TUESDAY: Here is information about Wednesday's Northfield Community Youth Fairs from Northfield Public Schools:

From sports to scouting and arts to music, discover the opportunities Northfield has to offer – at the eleventh annual Community Youth Fairs this Wednesday. 

From 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.at Greenvale Park Elementary and 7 to 8 p.m. at Bridgewater Elementary, more than 30 organizations will be on hand for families to learn about the wide range of local after-school and weekend activities available.

Kids can enjoy free games and prizes, and parents can sign up for the activities right at the event. Scholarship information will be available, as well as registration materials in Spanish. Hotdogs, chips and pop will be sold to raise money for the Community Services scholarship fund.

ORIGINAL STORY: The annual Northfield Community Youth Fairs are scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 14. Times are:

• 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Greenvale Park Elementary School
• 7-8 p.m. at Bridgewater Elementary School

The fairs will provide information on how youngsters can get involved in sports, arts, afterschool programs and other youth activities in Northfield. More than 30 youth organizations will be represented.

Scholarship information will be available, and there will be interactive booths and games. Hot dogs, chips and pop will be for sale, and free ice cream treats and prizes will be offered.

The fairs are made possible by Northfield Public Schools Community Services Division, supported in part by the Northfield Healthy Community Initiative, with contributions from Allina Hospital and Clinics, Northfield Hospital and Clinics and the United Way.
