'Introduction to iPads for Elementary School Parents' Class Being Offered

Editor's Note: This announcement is from the Northfield Public Schools.

Beginning with the 2013-14 school year, Northfield Public Schools' transformational technology plan will include a 1:1 iPad initiative for secondary students and a “pod-based” approach of one iPad Mini per 3.5 students in Northfield’s elementary schools.

Elementary school parents will be introduced to the iPad Mini and taken through basic operating skills in the “Introduction to iPads for Elementary School Parents,” class which will be facilitated by Tony Seidl, 3rd Grade Teacher at Greenvale Park Elementary.

Discussion topics will include how iPad Minis may be used within all public elementary schools in Northfield and also some 'best practice' ideas for iPad use at home, along with more information about exciting and age-appropriate Apps for kids in grades K-5.
