FARIBAULT, MN, SEPTEMBER 23, 2013 — A four-plex fire near St. Peter left 2 households displaced on Thursday. American Red Cross volunteers were on hand to assist a total of four adults and two children with their immediate emergency needs after the blaze. The Red Cross will work with other agencies to assist with whatever long-term recovery planning may be necessary as well.
Every 8 minutes, the Red Cross is called upon to assist with a house fire or other disaster somewhere in the U.S. Help can be provided in the form of food, clothing, shelter, and emotional support to get the affected people through the immediate aftermath of the disaster.
