Interim Director Takes Helm of Northfield Chamber of commerce

A longtime Northfield business leader and community supporter has earned the nod as the business group's leader.

The Northfield Area Chamber of Commerce has announced that John Stull will serve as the organization’s interim executive director. Stull, a longtime Northfield resident and noted community leader, settled into his new role on Monday, December 16.

With a résumé that includes 30 years at MOM Brands, stints as Northfield’s mayor and a Northfield city councilor, president of the Northfield Area Chamber of Commerce and interim executive director of the Northfield Downtown Development Corporation (NDDC), Stull will use his experience to further build the Chamber’s collaborations with like-minded organizations and establish a strategic direction for the future.

“We are very excited to have a leader of John’s caliber join us. This is a critical time for the Chamber and we’re confident that he will provide the direction necessary to fulfill the organization’s mission to lead in the creation, promotion and enhancement of a healthy business environment. There’s no question that he will provide a strong, steady voice as we initiate plans to search for a full-time executive director," Beth Naumann, president of the Northfield Area Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors, said.

While Stull will have responsibilities that ensure the Chamber’s day-to-day operations run smoothly, he will also work to deepen the organization’s strategic collaborations with the NDDC, Northfield Enterprise Center (NEC), Economic Development Authority (EDA) and Northfield Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB).

“I’m really excited to embark on this new challenge. Northfield is a wonderful place – one that has supported me in many different ways over the years. I think we can all agree that when businesses succeed in Northfield, it’s good for all corners of the community. I look forward to having a positive impact on the area’s well-being," Stull said.
