EarlyVentures Receives Specialized Computer System to Promote Early Learning

The Northfield learning center was one of 17 organizations to receive the new system.

Northfield's EarlyVentures Learning Center was one of 17 organizations to receive a Young Explorer Early Learning System from Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation’s (SMIF) Early Childhood Initiative.

According to a release, EarlyVentures was selected to receive the specialized computer system, which is valued at $2,600, because of its commitment to provide a trained adult and easy access for young children and their families to enjoy this new way of learning.

The Young Explorers offer a fun and engaging platform that teachers and childcare providers can use to challenge young minds and make classroom connections through the use of technology, the release said.
To date, SMIF has invested $1 million in early childhood education annually within the 20-county region over the past eight years.
