The Northfield Bantam A Team captured the Fergus Falls Invitational Tournament December 15 & 16.  The Raider's opened with a win over the Bismarck Nationals in a high scoring game 8 to 6.  Later that day Northfield defeated a tough River Lakes team 5 to 1 to advance to the Championship game on Sunday against the highly rated Detroit Lakes club. 

The final game saw Detroit Lakes score first, followed by back to back goals by Northfield to end the first period up 2 to 1.  For the next two periods both teams failed to put the puck in the next until Northfield scored with 1:48 left to pull ahead 3 to 1.  The gritty Lakers pulled their goalie to score with :08.40 left but it was not enough and the Raider's held on to win 3 to 2 and take home the top spot.
