Stories are the lifeblood of a community. They remind us of who we are and how we got here. They are the spiritual sustenance that shapes our collective identity, lifts up our values and reveals our character. They help us understand what sets us apart from the rest of the world, or at least from that community down the road.
Northfield Historical Society is the steward of the unique history that is Northfield’s. Our goal is to foster an awareness of its meaning and relevance through the discovery, documentation, preservation and interpretation of our collective stories.
We take our mission seriously.
Our volunteers and staff do a remarkable job managing our collection and bringing our community’s stories to life through exhibits, programs and special events. But with your support, we could do more.
Give to the Max Day is a great opportunity to show your commitment to this work by making a donation. Any amount you contribute will be leveraged to secure a $1,000 challenge grant generously offered to us by an NHS member.
Your money will be used wisely. It will give us the capacity to go deeper into our collective past and tell our stories with more insight and context. It will ensure Northfield’s stories will be available not only today, but for generations to come.
