VIDEO: Northfield 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony

Murphy, who organized the event, shared his , which led him to Iraq.

The ceremony also included an opening and closing prayer from Pastor Tom Franklin, a flag raising by the Minnesota Army National Guard's 434th Chemical Company, a salute to the flag and the Pledge of Allegiance, a performance of Alan Jackson's "Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)" by Chad Johnson, an address by , a specialist (E-4) with the Minnesota Army National Guard and a 21-gun salute by the VFW and the presentation of the colors by the American Legion Post 84.
Joining Northfielders at the ceremony were area law enforcement officers, firefighters and EMS personnel who represented those who lost their lives helping save others on 9/11.
