Things to Do this Weekend: To India and Back, Legislator Forum, Arsenic and Old Lace

Here are some ideas for activities to take part in this weekend.


1) Membership Forum with Legislators

When/Where: 7:30 a.m. Friday; Community Resource Bank

Why Go: Meet with Rep. Kelby Woodard and Sen. Al DeKruif to talk about issues.


2) Boys Basketball Varsity Home Schedule

When/Where: 7 p.m. Friday; Northfield High School

Why Go: Watch the boys take on Shakopee.

Price: $6


3) To India and Back

When/Where: 5 p.m. Saturday; Northfield Middle School

Why Go: Come and join us for a fun-filled night experiencing the food, the visual arts, music and dance of India. Nirmala Rajasekar will be performing music on her veena along with her band. (Click link above for more information.)

Price: $20


4) Arsenic and Old Lace

When/Where: 7:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday; Northfield Arts Guild Theater

Why Go: Arsenic and Old Lace, a hilarious comedy by Joseph Kesselring, ise directed by Frank Blomgren. This play is presented in the Arts Guild Theater February 17-26, 2012.

Price: $15; $10 for students and seniors


5) Faculty Recital: Laura Caviani

When/Where: 2 p.m. Sunday; Urness Recital Hall, St. Olaf College

Why Go: Enjoy the music of Laura Caviani, jazz pianist.

Price: Free
