PHOTOS: Severe Thunderstorm Tears Through Northfield

Trees, power lines are down all over town.

A Saturday morning thunderstorm left its mark on Northfield as dozens of trees—some decades old—and many power lines were brought to the ground.

The storm, which lasted about an hour, had straight-line winds exceeding 60 mph and brought heavy rainfall, which temporarily flooded several streets.

Xcel Energy is reporting thousands of customers are without power with repairs expected to last into the mid- to late-afternoon.
