PHOTOS: Joe Mauer and Anthony Slama Visit Northfield
The Twins made the stop on Wednesday as part of their annual Winter Caravan tour.
Minnesota Twins Joe Mauer and Anthony Slama spent part of their afternoon at Northfield Middle School on Wednesday chatting it up with hundreds of fans, including students and community members.
The stop was part of the Twins annual Winter Caravan tour, which is in its 51st year.
Sixth-grader Will Valek was eager to see Mauer from his second-row seat in the middle school's auditorium.
"I'm just a big fan," he said after the Twins had left.
The Twins made the stop in Northfield with help from the folks at KYMN.

Hi um I was at the mauer thing and was taking pictures (I am a northfield student) and I got my picture taken with Joe after he was off stage. It was just after he finished signing the baseballs and stuff. You gave me a card and told me that I could come to this website and see my picture that you took if me and Joe mauer but it isn't on here and I was just wondering if you had it.

Lydia, I just added the picture Laura Nitti took of you (I'm assuming it's you because of the camera). It was initially left off because it turned out a little blurry. Thanks for checking out the site and congratulations on meeting Joe!
