Pan Pan Café Closes for Business

The restaurant was open for 16 months in downtown Northfield.

Pan Pan Café in downtown Northfield has closed after 16 months of business.

A sign posted on the restaurant's door Sunday read: "Pan Pan regrettably is now closed for business. Our apologies and our thanks to our customers."

A similar message was posted on Pan Pan's Facebook page Monday morning.

Pan Pan served a selection of Asian fare and its menu dabbled in other disciplines during its time.

The restaurant's closing comes about a month after proprietor Norm Butler closed 620 Grill. The bar and grill was open for about nine months.

Butler also owns the Contented Cow and Chapati.

I ate there once. Food was good but expensive for noodles.

I think a Lee Ann Chin franchise would be a super addition to Northfield!
