UPDATE: Five Candidates Come Forward for Open Council Seat
Interested in the position? You have until 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, to submit an application.
The city now has five candidates to fill the soon-to-be vacated seat of Councilor Kris Vohs.
They are, in alphabetical order:
- Jon Denison
- Joe Gasior
- Sean Daniel Hayford Oleary
- Ivan Imms
- Don McGee
Applications are due by 5 p.m. Nov. 29. If appointed, you serve from Jan. 1, 2012 through Dec. 31, 2012. The at-large council seat is part of the 2012 election.

Applicants must confirm that they are qualified for appointment by meeting the requirements:
- The applicant is a resident of Northfield,
- Is qualified to vote in Northfield,
- Is at least 21 years of age, and
- Meets any other qualifications for the office prescribed by law.

- Why they are interested in the appointment;
- Their education, training and/or experience that is relevant to the appointment;
- Indicate their availability for an interview by the Council on either December 5 or 12, 2011.

The Council reserves the right to request further information from applicants, to reopen the application process, and to extend the time for a decision.
