Labor Day: What's Open and Closed in Northfield

Here's a quick guide to help you through the day.

Labor Day is upon us and it's time to sit back and enjoy the day off—if you've got it off.

A federal holiday recognized by the state of Minnesota, city government will take the day off—Northfield City Hall, the Northfield Liquor Store and the Northfield Public Library are all closed.

The United States Post Office is also closed today and Northfield Public Schools is set to start classes on Tuesday.

All local major retailers and supermarkets will be open on Labor Day including Cub Foods, Walgreens, Menards, Target and Econofoods.

Many private businesses are traditionally closed on Labor Day, so be sure to check our business listings to get their phone number and call before you head out.

If your business is open today, leave a comment and let us know!
