Some of Northfield's local celebrities are getting international exposure.

Just Food Co-op and Kenyon-based L&R Poultry & Produce are featured in a "Celebrity Farmers" video by StrongerTogether.coop as 2012 has been pegged as the International Year of Cooperatives.

Interviewed for the video are Just Food's Melanie Reid and Lynne Reeck, as well as L&R's Rae Rusnak.

Just Food is just one of many co-ops that will be featured.

According to the StrongerTogether.coop website, celebrity chef Kevin Gillepsie "travels to food co-ops across the country—from grocery aisles to farm fields—to share their passion for delicious food and their local communities. Watch and you'll quickly discover the many ways food co-ops, their shoppers and owners, and their communities are stronger together."
