The Northfield girls varsity basketball team extended its win streak to three after blowing out Austin on Saturday at Northfield High School.

With the 59-31 victory, Northfield moves to 3-2 on the season. Anna Pfefferle led the way with 21 points and 18 rebounds.

The girls next host Faribault on Friday as part of the school's triple-header day.

Northfield and Faribault wrestlers kick off the action at 4:30 p.m., followed by girls basketball at 6 and boys basketball at 8.

Northfield Activities Director Tom Graupmann told Patch that it's the first time the district has hosted a triple-header like this. Also on tap for the night is coaches versus cancer fundraiser run by the DECA Club.
