Froggy Bottoms River Pub to Reopen Friday

The frog hops again.
Closed for more than a year after Northfield was hit by one of the worst floods in the city's history, Froggy Bottoms River Pub reopens Friday, according to the pub's Facebook page.
"The day has FINALLY come!!!!!!! We open this Friday at 5:00! Can't wait to see you Northfield!!! THE FROG HOPS AGAIN!!!!!!" the post reads.
Word of the reopening has been swirling for months. In less than 30 minutes of the Facebook page update, 25 people had "liked" the status.
Froggy's had been working to purchase the adjacent building formerly used by the Northfield Union of Youth to expand the pub, but lost out to neighbor Basil's Pizza.
Laurie Hoheisel, one of the new managers of Froggy's, told the Northfield News last month that she was excited to see the establishment reopen.
"It's going to be the old Froggy's, just with a little facelift," she told the paper.
What are your Froggy memories?

Nachos were always HUGE and good, Club Sandwiches, Sweet Potato Fries with spicy dipping sauce, and Pat's potatoes were always favorites. My favorite memory is the first time we took Jake there when he was real young, and he was served by Jake, and had Macaroni & Cheese in a frog bowl. He still talks about that day. It made quite a first impression on him. We would also go down as a father and son on Tuesdays when mom went to yoga, and have a father-son meal in the "jail cell" booth right behind the front stairs.
It is going to be nice to have Froggy's back, and make new memories. I hope they bring the pinball machine back to the back room!

I was in the building last week and noticed "Mark Mraz" name still on the blackboard -- he was cancelled after the flood. Looking forward to seeing Mark again at Froggy Bottoms along with all of our "Froggy" friends.
