Election 101: Meet Your School Board Candidates

Northfielders have less than two months to decide which four candidates they'd like to see on the Northfield School Board.

Patch has compiled basic biographical information about this year's five school board candidates. Click on their names for more information.

Candidates are :

• Dan Cupersmith
• Rob Hardy
• Ellen Iverson (incumbent)
• Anne Maple (incumbent)
• Noel Stratmoen (incumbent)

In the coming weeks Northfield Patch will bring you continued coverage of the school board race and the candidates. 

All seats up for grabs this year are four-year terms.

Jeff Quinnell, whose school board term ends this year, didn't file for re-election because he has entered the race for Rice County District 2 Commissioner against incumbent Galen Malecha.

In 2010, five candidates ran for three four-year terms on the school board. Stratmoen ran unopposed that year for a two-year term on the board. In 2008, eight candidates ran for four four-year terms. In 2006, three candidates ran for three four-year terms.
