Council Uses TIF Money for Affordable Housing Development

Here's a look back at Tuesday's Northfield City Council meeting.

Here's a look back at Tuesday's Northfield City Council meeting, courtesy of KYMN. 

The Council:

  • approved a $1,021,000 in tax increment financing note to help build a 28-unit affordable housing development known as the Spring Creek Townhome Project. The city was awarded a $7 million tax credit to collaborate with Three Rivers Community Action on the project. Read more about it at the Northfield News.
  • recognized Grace Whittier Fund Committee members Dale Ness, Beth Berry and Helen Preddy
  • reviewed the 2013 budget for the Community Development department, which includes the Economic Development Authority and the Housing and Redevelopment Authority
