The legend of Toff lives on.
Toff, campus cat who passed away March 6, 2011, from cancer, will be memorialized with a statue in front of Gould Library.
The unveiling of the statue is at 4:30 p.m. today and the program includes remarks from Toff's owners, Roger and Martha Paas, and refreshments.

"He was quite a character. He was very self-possessed. He knew exactly what he wanted," Roger Paas, the William H. Laird Professor of German and the Liberal Arts, chair of German and Russian, told the Pioneer Press last year following Toff's death.
Toff was one month shy of his 15th birthday when he passed away.

His memory has lived on with his own Facebook page, where more than 1,000 people have liked the page and have left plenty of comments leading up to the unveiling.
"I think the sculptor needs to include a reinforced nose. That schnozz is going to see a LOT of action," wrote Ingrid Meyer Case.
