PHOTOS: Bridgewater Elementary Honors Northfield Veterans
Staff, students and their families gathered together Friday at the school for a program.
It was a time of reflection as America's Greatest Generation and other veterans met with America's youngest generation at Friday's annual Bridgewater Elementary Veterans Day program.
The students sang, led the crowd in the Pledge of Allegiance and delivered information they learned in class about each of the military branches. A slideshow of students' family members who have served or are serving in the military illustrated just how many local families are touched by military involvement.
Members of the Northfield American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars were present along with members of the National Guard and the reserves. After the assembly students stood at the doors to thank the veterans who attended by giving them handmade cards of thanks.
